Hugh Merkle is passionate about Stone Harbor & Avalon and strongly feels that 7 Mile Island is a very special “hidden” treasure on the Jersey shore. Providing his clients with the most accurate, up-to-date local real estate information to make the right decision for themselves and their family in both sales and vacation rentals is very important to Hugh. Hugh is the creator, owner and “Team Leader” of the highly successful, award winning Hugh Merkle Team that has annually received National, Regional and Local real estate awards yearly for Top Producer Productivity consistently for the last 25 years.

Striving to “Give Back” to the local community for his strong record of success, Hugh created the very popular and informative Hugh’s News publication that helps everyone stay informed about the local Real Estate market and trends. Hugh is also a strong contributing supporter to the extremely popular Seven Mile Times Free News Magazine that keeps everyone so well informed and entertained throughout the year on the happenings, both past and present, on Seven Mile Beach.

Well before his 30 years of success in resort Real Estate, Hugh graduated from Camden Catholic High School, New Jersey (class of 1960), West Chester University, Pennsylvania (Class Of 1965), was a former American Government teacher at Haddon Township High School in the 60’s and 70’s as well as a very successful High School, Club and National Swim Coach at Jersey Wahoos Swim Club from the mid 1960’s thru the mid 1980’s.

Wonderful years to look back on and enjoy the friendships that the many associations above created for Hugh through the 60’s, 80’s and up to 2017 and beyond!!!!  The future holds more special relationships that Hugh is looking forward to discovering and ENJOYING ……
