Avalon Free Public Library’s Doors Are Open
Posted: February 1st 2021

Check it out! The Avalon Free Public Library is open to patrons! While it is operating on a limited basis, the library is open for checking out books, music, video games and more.
While in-person gatherings are still at a halt, the AFPL has gathered a number of virtual programs held via Zoom and social media every month. Through February alone, children can enjoy a weekly Story Time with Miss Linda every Tuesday morning, budding writers can sign on for advice with Creative Writing Workshops, bookworms can join in on a variety of book clubs, and beginning researchers can learn important tips and tricks to digging through their genealogy. Featured programs in February include a watercolor workshop, a kids event highlighting Jackie Robinson, and even a featured author talk with Susannah Marren, who will discuss her latest novel, “A Palm Beach Scandal.”

The Avalon Free Public Library is currently open daily: Monday through Friday from 10am-6pm, Saturday and Sunday from 10am-1pm. Program registration, digital resources and more can all be found by visiting the library’s website at avalonfreelibrary.org or following the library on Facebook and Instagram. Be sure to #CheckItOut with a variety of fun and fascinating resources to keep everyone entertained through the winter. And stay tuned for some exciting announcements for spring and summer programming!
